Foederis Systems LLC (''Foederis'') is a technology company founded in 2010 by intelligence officer Christopher Rickman,
mathematician Joseph Schaffner, and attorney Jason Greenwood. Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Foederis develops software solutions
for the legal community that enhance, explore, and exploit knowledge management, communication and collaboration systems.
Using the most efficient methods and a firm commitment to the end user, Foederis implements technology strategies that create a measurable decision advantage for legal professionals. Foederis offers an efficient software architecture that commands data while mimicking the way users gather, process, and synthesize information. Foederis' products operate in the manner that the legal community thinks.
The name Foederis derives from the Latin noun foedus/foedera (n.), meaning law, pact, or treaty.

Christopher Rickman, CEO
Chris Rickman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Foederis Systems.
Mr. Rickman served honorably for nine (9) years in the United States Navy, working in the field of Intelligence.
After his Naval Service, Mr. Rickman worked as the principle Intelligence Analyst for a research and development firm,
building analytic and algorithmic software solutions for the Intelligence Community. During this time, Mr. Rickman
was involved in all aspects of program development, bringing real solutions to life for the Intelligence Community.
Continuing his work as an Intelligence Fusion Subject Matter Expert, Mr. Rickman broadened his scope to include
Analytic Methodologies, the study of the reasoning and methods used to obtain information and make conclusions.
Working for Intelligence Community partners as a Program Manager, Mr. Rickman used his extensive background in analysis
and knowledge of program development to implement the most effective and efficient solutions for analytic users. Some
of the programs Mr. Rickman worked on directly affected the analytic methods of thousands of users,
multi-millions dollar accounts, and national security. With this experience, Mr. Rickman brings an unparalleled understanding of what it takes to
manage, design and deploy winning knowledge management solutions.

Jason Greenwood, CFO
Mr. Greenwood is the Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Financial Officer of Foederis Systems. Mr. Greenwood
is also the founder and president of Greenwood Law Firm PC, a Fredericksburg, Virginia, law firm specializing in consumer
bankruptcy, corporate and business law and administrative and appellate law. Mr. Greenwood has practiced as an attorney
in small firm, large firm, military/government and solo practitioner settings.
Prior to entering the private practice of law, Mr. Greenwood served as a Judge Advocate and chief prosecutor in the United States Marine Corps.
His active duty Marine Corps career spanned more than twelve (12) years, during which he rose to the
rank of Major, and served as an artillery officer, a logistician, and an attorney. Mr. Greenwood is a member of the Virginia,
Washington, D.C., and South Carolina bars.
Mr. Greenwood earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law.
While in law school, he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the South Carolina Law Review. He also received the
Claud N. Sapp Award, the Compleat Lawyer Award, the Karen Lee Memorial Scholarship, and CALI Awards for Insurance and
Appellate Advocacy. Mr. Greenwood earned an Artium Baccalaureus degree in Political Science from Colgate University
in Hamilton, New York. During his time at Colgate, Mr. Greenwood was a member of the prestigious Colgate University
Washington, DC Political Science Study Group and a member of the varsity baseball team.
Mr. Greenwood brings a wealth of management and entrepreneurial experience to the Foederis team, as well as a keen understanding
of the needs of legal professionals at all levels and settings. |

Joe Schaffner, COO
Joe Schaffner is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Foederis Systems. Mr. Schaffner earned
his Bachelor's Degrees in both physics and mathematics, summa cum laude, from the University of Virginia. While at
Virginia, Mr. Schaffner wrote undergraduate theses concerning Quantum Homodyne Tomography and modeling derivative markets
via L�vy processes. Mr. Schaffner plans to return to Charlottesville next fall to attend the University Of Virginia School Of Law.
Following his graduation from Virginia, Mr. Schaffner served as a Staff Scientist at a research and development firm, where he specialized
in algorithm development, software engineering, and systems modeling. Witnessing first-hand the inefficiencies inherent in the
Intelligence Community, Mr. Schaffner quickly became interested in knowledge management systems, ontological architectures,
and customer-driven software solutions. Mr. Schaffner brings this same enthusiasm to Foederis Systems, where he hopes to solve
similar problems in the legal community.
In his spare time, Mr. Schaffner likes to compose music, play competitive baseball, and study philosophy. |

Clayton Winters, Vice President, Product Development
Clayton Winters is the Principle Program Manager at Foederis Systems. Mr. Winters
earned his Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Virginia Tech, where he specialized in Geographic Information Systems
and Remote Sensing.
Mr. Winters started his career at The Boeing Company as a Geoscientist working on the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission. After
less than a year he was managing a group of skilled Quality Control specialists, and shortly after was detailed as a Manager of
several high-value government contracts for the company. During this time, Mr. Winters attended The George Washington
University where, in 2007, he received his Masters Degree in Systems Engineering.
Mr. Winters continued to support his government clients while working for several contracting companies in the Washington DC
Region. He has worked as an Imagery Scientist and on-site Manager, as well as an Operations Research and Analytic Methodologist.
Currently, Mr. Winters is working as a System Architect for a multi-million dollar analytic program, but no matter the title, he
consistently utilized his myriad of talents to provide the highest caliber of support to the customer.
Mr. Winters continues to contribute the same knowledge base and skill set with the same great enthusiasm and dedication at
Foederis Systems. |

Rich Dougherty, CEO, CollectiveIntell, Inc.
Rich has more than 18 years of business management experience with both emerging and Fortune 500 technology companies. Currently, Rich provides management consulting and software development services to commercial and Federal CIOs and high-tech startups. Before starting CollectiveIntell, Rich served for 8 years as CEO of Expert Choice, a collaborative decision making software company. Prior to Expert Choice Rich served as VP of Business Development for FastTide, an Internet content management software startup and held marketing and brand management positions at Dell Computer Corporation. As a Product Marketing Manager at Dell, he managed the development and launch of the world’s best-selling workstation and then transitioned to Dell’s $2B Medium-sized business sales division where he ran the Workstation, Server and Storage lines of business. Before joining Dell, Rich was a Consultant for PRC EMI, Inc., where he led software projects for the U.S. EPA and the Department of Defense. Rich earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
For the past 7 years Mr. Dougherty has been a guest lecturer at the George Washington University’s School of business, is quoted by publications such as Business Week and has authored articles appearing in Federal Computer Week and in project portfolio management publications. |
